Is it your first time visiting St. Petersburg, FL? Entertaining out-of-town guests? Hitch a ride on The Looper!

I got this tip from an employee at The Pier while my daughter was running around. "The Looper is the blue trolley that picks up right at the entrance to The Pier," he said. "It's a great way to see the city and it only costs a quarter."

That's right! A quarter per person each time you board the Looper. So get on and enjoy the ride as the Looper takes you on a tour of Downtown St. Petersburg's shopping, restaurants, museums, art galleries, The Pier and BayWalk. There are 13 stops along the way.

Not interested in a tour? The Looper is also a convenient and inexpensive way to get around without having to get back in your car after you finally find a parking spot.

Need a Restaurant Suggestion?

St. Pete has a lot of great restaurants to choose from, but if curry is your thing, I'd suggest stopping at Moon Under Water, a British Colonial Tavern (http://www.themoonunderwater.com/Page1.htm). It's located near the Vinoy on Beach Drive. There are a few tables out front along the road, and inside is cozy. Don't expect the usual curry with a bunch of veggies and some meat, though. It's all meat and the sauce of your choice (there are 4 to choose from), but it's really good. Making it a platter gives you a side of tomatoes and onions (which is more of a garnish) and naan bread (that in my opinion makes it worth the extra cost). It's not the best place to go with a baby, though. The room is cozy until you add a high chair, diaper bag and bored child -- then it's just cramped. And there is nothing to occupy kids until the meal arrives.
